Conestoga Cold Storage is seeking an apt, determined, and enthusiastic individual to join our company as an Accounts Payable Clerk at our Kitchener facility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk. Working closely with our Finance Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing vendor relationships, company Accounts Payables, and working closely with the purchasing department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage Accounts Payables on a daily basis Prepare and process cheques/EFT/wire payments Ability to navigate and organize excel spreadsheets Receive invoices, match against supporting documents (purchase orders, receiving records, etc.), investigate and resolve any discrepancies, obtain appropriate approvals when needed and process invoices for payment. Communicate with and respond to vendors concerning payables issues (i.e. payment status; disputes; etc.). Reconcile vendor statements and address all past due items. Ensure that invoices have been received and posted prior to month end closing. Work with the finance team leads to ensure that the month-end close process is completed in a timely manner. Prepare month end reports and reconcile subledgers to the ledger. Liaise with purchasing department to ensure purchase orders are up to date with correct pricing and quantities. Enter material receipts into ERP system. Backup other team members when they are absent, as necessary. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Attributes:

Strong command of English, both verbal and written, to manage and balance both internal and external relationships. Ability to work in a solo & team setting. Aptitude, accuracy, and efficiency. Ability to protect organizations’ value by keeping information confidential. Self-motivated.
